The best eye gels for travel
If you’ve been around for a while, you probably know that I travel pretty frequently! Today, I wanted to talk about the best eye gels for travel. If you find yourself frequently jet-setting or even embarking on weekend getaways, you’re well aware that traveling can take a toll on your skin and eyes.
Long flights, changing time zones, and exposure to unfamiliar environments can leave your eyes and skin feeling fatigued and puffy. So today, I will write the ultimate guide to the best eye gels for travel.
These little gems (also called eye gel pads or under-eye gels) are your secret weapons for combating the effects of travel fatigue, ensuring that your eyes stay refreshed and ready to take on your next adventure – even if you’re jetlagged.
Speaking of jetlag, I have a blog post about how to survive the flight to Hawaii & how to fight jet lag. It says Hawaii, but it will work for any long flight (like my upcoming trip to New Zealand!)
The best eye gel pads for travel
When it comes to the best eye gels for travel, I have three that I love, and I currently rotate all of them. Of course, you can pick a favorite and stick with it, but I genuinely love all 3 of these.
None of these are sponsored, and I buy all of them with my own money. I have sensitive skin, and none of these cause any irritation.
Maree Marine Collagen Eye Gels
Maree Marine Collagen Eye Gels promise to remove puffiness, bags, and smooth fine lines. They start to work within 5 minutes!
Maree products have no artificial colors or dyes, no parabens, no silicone, and no sulfates. They are also ethically sourced and sustainably formulated, which is important to me. They are not vegan due to the marine collagen, but they are cruelty-free.
Maree has many other options, including 24k collagen eye patches (next on my list to try,) acne patches, and full facial masks. Maybe I’ll try the full face mask on a plane? Do you think I’d get some weird looks? Worth it!
LE GUSHE Matcha Collagen Under Eye Pads
I saw someone recommend these once, and I ordered them on Subscribe and Save and enjoyed using them. These matcha under-eye gels work very well and reduce fine lines and under-eye bags very quickly.
The company also offers 24k gold collagen under eye patches, which I haven’t tried but they have good reviews.
I will say that I believe the other two products on this list are cleaner, which is important to me, so I’ll probably stick to those two as I know these are not cruelty-free either.
I wasn’t able to find out as much about this brand vs. the other two on this list of the best under-eye gels for travel, so due to that, I will be purchasing Maree and Frownies in the future.
Frownies Under Eye Gels
I love Frownies products! All products by Frownies are plant-based and very clean, and Frownies is a woman-owned company! I have a video about Frownies Facial Patches (their original product) if you want to check it out.
Now, let’s talk about Frownies Under Eye Gels. They differ from the other two items on this list for several reasons. 1: They are reusable! Yes, you can use these eye fels multiple times. Put them in the fridge (they recommend spraying with Frownies Rosewater Hydrator, which I do) and reuse them a few times.
The downside is that they are more slippery than the other two items mentioned above. For this reason, I use these more at home (like after returning from a trip) vs. on a trip or when I’m out and about. I have found that you need to lie down to avoid the gels slipping around your face.
That is perfectly fine (put on some relaxing music and chill for 20 minutes!) if you’re home, but that doesn’t translate as well on an airplane or running around a hotel room trying to unpack.
Frownies products are all gluten-free, vegan, and made with plant-based ingredients. My favorite products from their line include the original facial patches, cellulite cream, and Apple serum.
I’m a big Frownies fan!
The best eye gels for travel
These are my favorite eye gels for travel; if I had to pick just one, Maree Marine Collagen Eye gels would be the winner! They’re the easiest to travel with, great for sensitive skin, cruelty-free, and sustainably sourced! What are your favorite eye gel pads for traveling? If I missed a good one, let me know in the comments.
