The 15 best gifts for travelers
If you’re looking for the best gifts for travelers, look no further! As a Hawaii Travel Agent and frequently traveler myself, I’m often asked about the best gifts for travelers. As with most of my other content when I’m asked a question frequently, I write a blog post about it!
If you prefer a visual list, you can check out the gifts for travelers section on my Amazon page.
The best gifts for travel lovers
I’ve listed 15 best gifts for travelers but they are in no particular order!
1. Memory foam neck pillow
Never underestimate the power of a good neck pillow! A great neck pillow is a great gift for any travel-loving friend. Memory foam is fantastic. Here is my favorite travel pillow.
2. Packing cubes
With baggage fees being borderline outrageous, travelers are being more conscious of their luggage than ever. A great way to pack lighter while staying organized is a good set of packing cubes. Ebags carries my favorite set of packing cubes along with other luggage must-haves.
3. Packable duffel bag
If you have ever left a destination with more than you came with, you know how handy it is to have an extra bag. That’s why a packable duffel bag makes one of the best gifts for travelers. It’s easy to pack in another bag and makes a great beach bag, reusable shopping bag, or an extra bag for souvenirs.
4. Bluetooth speaker
A small, Bluetooth speaker is great for hanging out on the beach, using in your hotel or condo, and more. It’s a great gift for travelers that can also be used at home.

5. Lifestraw
A Lifestraw is a great gift for anyone who enjoys hiking or is traveling somewhere the water might not be safe to drink.
6. Portable charger
A portable charger is an inexpensive gift that will be well appreciated. Anyone who spents time on a plane, train, or anywhere without access to power will appreciate this gift.
7. International travel adapter
An international traveler adapter is another inexpensive gift that will be appreciated. If someone you know is traveling internationally, get them one of these!

8. Solid toiletries
Travel-size toiletries can be messy, cause problems insecurity of not packed correctly, and contribute to plastic waste. Ethique has created an amazing solution with wonderful solid toiletry products. These can be packed in any bag and range from shampoo to conditioner to body wash and even laundry soap! I use and love their shampoos, the products have 0 plastic and the packaging is compostable.
9. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
In my recommendations on how to survive a long flight, I recommend reading! The Kindle Paperwhite is perfect for reading – no glare – and is now waterproof! Why would you want a waterproof Kindle?
Well, sometimes you’re reading on the rogue beach and a wave comes up and soaks your Kindle. It happens.
10. Kindle Unlimited Subscription
Another one of the best gifts for travelers who enjoy reading is a Kindle Unlimited Subscription. You can give 6, 12, or 24 months.
11. Wireless headphones
A good set of wireless headphones is a must. I love Beats Solo 3 but Powerbeats are great for traveling.
12. Travel hammock
Depending on the type of travel, a travel hammock can make a great gift!
13. Portable tripod
A portable tripod is a must for any travel photographer. I love all of the Joby and GorillaPod products.
14. Guidebooks
Guidebooks make a great gift for any friends and family heading to new destinations. For my Hawaii travelers, I recommend Hawaii: Revealed series and Fodor’s Essential Hawaii. Both, along with most other travel guides, are also available for Kindle.
15. GoPro
No matter where you’re headed, one of the best things you can take with you is a GoPro. A GoPro is perfect for any scenario where a camera or phone isn’t ideal, such as snorkeling or muddy adventures. A new GoPro is one of the best gifts for travelers and one I’d recommend for almost anyone.
