The best hotels in Branson
If you’re planning a Branson vacation, one of the first things you’ll need to decide is where to stay. Here are 10 of the best hotels in Branson. These Branson hotels range from simple and inexpensive hotel rooms to luxury resort options to condo options that will fit your whole family (or multiple families.)
I know that the “best hotels” will vary from family to family, so keep that in mind when creating this list of the 15 best hotels in Branson. Whether you need a clean, affordable, simple hotel room or a large condo-style place to stay for multiple families, you’ll find something on this list of Branson hotels.

If you want a vacation rental, check out houses and condos on VRBO and Expedia.
If you’ve ever visited my site before, you probably know that I primarily write about tropical destinations. While I specialize in beach vacations on this blog, Branson was my home for several years, and I still live nearby!

Are you flying to Branson? You’ll need a rental car
If you fly into Branson (or, more likely, Springfield, Missouri) you’ll need a rental car. I recommend renting one from Discount USA Car Rental. They offer the best pricing for rental cars (from brands like Thrifty and Hertz), and you don’t pay until you pick up the car.
Where to stay in Branson
Here are the best hotels in Branson, but I go beyond hotels and explore condo and villa-style accommodations.
1. Hyatt Vacation Club at The Lodges at Timber Ridge
As a Hyatt fan, the only Hyatt option in Branson had to come in first on my list of the best hotels in Branson! And no, you do not have to be part of the Hyatt Vacation Club to stay here (nor do I ever, ever recommend a timeshare to anyone!)
Hyatt Vacation Club at The Lodges at Timber Ridge is an exceptional destination for families seeking a memorable and relaxing getaway. The resort offers spacious, condominium-style suites, providing families ample space to spread out and relax. With fully-equipped kitchens and separate living areas, you’ll have all the comforts of home while on vacation.
The highlight of The Lodges at Timber Ridge is the fantastic indoor waterpark, featuring thrilling water slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones for all ages. Kids and adults can have hours of aquatic fun right at their doorstep.
While the kids play, parents can unwind at the on-site spa or relax by the adult pool. There’s also a fitness center for those who want to maintain their exercise routine.
2. Thousand Hills Golf Resort
Thousand Hills Golf Resort in Branson is a premier destination for travelers seeking a perfect blend of luxury accommodations and world-class golfing in the heart of the Ozarks. Nestled among the scenic beauty in the heart of Branson Branson, this resort offers a variety of beautifully appointed condo-style accommodations that cater to families and golf enthusiasts.
The true highlight is the award-winning 18-hole golf course that winds through the resort’s grounds. With meticulously manicured fairways, stunning water features, and breathtaking views, Thousand Hills provides a golfing experience that’s second to none.
The resort’s central location also makes it convenient for guests to explore the many entertainment, shopping, and dining options that Branson offers. Whether you’re a golfer looking for a challenging round or a family searching for a peaceful retreat, Thousand Hills Golf Resort delivers a memorable and relaxing experience.
3. Dooley lodges and resort
This hidden gem located close to Silver Dollar City on Indian Point is truly a must-see. I discovered this small, family-owned resort when I shot the first wedding there several years ago! Since then, they have opened a gorgeous wedding chapel that hosts many weddings every year.
Although it’s now also a wedding venue, Dooley Lodges and Resort started as a peaceful, family resort on Table Rock Lake and still is! The cabins are clean, inviting, and affordable, and this rustic resort is located right on Table Rock Lake and just minutes from Silver Dollar City.
4. Stillwaters Resort
Staying at Stillwaters Resort in Branson promises a tranquil and idyllic escape in the heart of the Ozarks. Nestled on the shores of beautiful Table Rock Lake, this resort offers a serene retreat for travelers seeking a blend of natural beauty and modern amenities.
The resort provides a range of accommodation options, including cabins, condos, and RV sites, each designed to cater to different preferences and group sizes. One of the standout features of Stillwaters Resort is its direct access to Table Rock Lake, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing, and water sports, making it an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
The resort also boasts swimming pools, picnic areas, and a marina, ensuring guests have plenty of ways to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you plan to spend your days on the lake, at nearby Silver Dollar City, or in town (just a short drive away), Stillwaters Resort offers something for everyone.
5. Marriott Willow Ridge Lodge
Marriott Willow Ridge Lodge in Branson is a delightful oasis of comfort and convenience in the heart of this entertainment-packed town. Nestled in a serene wooded setting, this resort offers spacious and well-appointed villa-style accommodations that cater to families and travelers seeking a cozy retreat.
With amenities like fully equipped kitchens, separate living areas, and private balconies, guests can relax in style and feel right at home. The resort’s proximity to Branson’s famous attractions, theaters, and shopping districts makes it an ideal home base.
Additionally, the property features indoor and outdoor pools, fitness facilities, and a variety of activities for all ages, ensuring that guests have plenty to do when they’re not out enjoying the local entertainment.
6. Thousand Hills Resort Hotel (formerly the Radisson)
Thousand Hills Resort Hotel (not to be confused with Thousand Hills Golf Resort, which is earlier on the list) is one of the best places to stay in Branson. It was one of my favorites back when it was the Radisson; I love the suites on the 9th floor.
The suites have low ceilings (unless you choose a Presidential Suite), but they are very affordable and offer a lot of room.
Thousand Hills Resort Hotel also offers meeting rooms for business or family reunions. It does offer an on-site restaurant and bar. The pool is tiny, but it is indoor/outdoor and heated.
The convenient location on 76 makes it an easy choice for one of the best hotels in Branson.
7. Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center
If you’re looking for a more upscale experience, celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary, or just looking to get away from the crowds, the Chateau is a great option.
The Chateau on the Lake offers a full-service spa, two restaurants, marina access, and two pools.
The Chateau on the Lake offers easy access to Table Rock Lake State Park, the Showboat Branson Belle, and Silver Dollar City.
8. Branson Hilton Convention Center
The Branson Hilton Convention Center is one of the best hotels in Branson and one of the most popular. The convention center, convenient access to The Landing, and familiarity with the Hilton brand make the Branson Hilton a great choice.
Again, I recommend a suite if you’re looking for more room. The suites at the Branson Hilton are more substantial and more modern (and more expensive) than the suites at the Radisson.
Although this is one of the pricier hotels in Branson, some of the rooms could use an update. The suites are beautiful and more updated, but the rooms leave a bit to be desired, especially at this price point.
9. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Branson – Hollister
The relatively new La Quinta Inn and Suites is a pet-friendly hotel located in Hollister.
I added it to the list of the best hotels in Branson after hearing great reviews from some of my photography clients who stayed there.
If you’re looking for the best hotel in Branson for pets, this is it!
10. Grand Plaza Hotel Branson
While the Grand Plaza Hotel is a bit dated (you may notice this theme), it does offer an affordable stay at a very convenient location. Breakfast is included and is decent for a free breakfast.
The best part about breakfast is that it takes place in the restaurant on the top floor.
The Grand Plaza offers a good-sized pool and meeting rooms. I recommend booking or upgrading to a room with a jacuzzi tub.
The 2-bedroom suites are an excellent size for families, especially if you have more than two children or just need a bit more space.
11. Grand Country Waterpark Resort
The Grand Country Waterpark Resort is arguably the best place to stay in Branson with kids. This waterpark resort also offers mini-golf, an arcade, laser tag, go-karts, and more.
It’s a kid’s dream and is conveniently located on Highway 76, close to shows, shopping, and more. Like many other hotels on this list, the rooms are a bit dated, but you likely won’t spend a lot of time in your room anyway.
12. Welk Resort Branson
Back when I owned a photography business in Branson, The Welk Resort Branson was popular among my photography clients and is one of the best hotels in Branson. It is a very family-friendly property that offers two pools and a waterpark.
The Welk Resort is located near the Welk Theater and is just far enough from Highway 76 to feel quieter while still close to the action.
13. The Branson Waterpark
A less expensive option than Grand Country Resort, The Branson Waterpark (formerly Castle Rock Resort) is another waterpark resort in the heart of Branson. It’s a fascinating resort with uniquely-themed rooms.
While the hotel/resort itself is quirky, the waterpark is a lot of fun for kids and much less expensive than the Grand Country.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive resort that offers something fun for kids, Castle Rock is a great option.
14. Holiday Inn Express Branson 76
If you need a simple, clean place to stay in the heart of Branson, the Holiday Inn Express is a great choice. It’s precisely what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express located near “The Strip” or Highway 76.
15. Big Cedar Lodge
If you’re looking for a 4.5-star luxury lodge that has just about everything you’ll need, Big Cedar might be a great choice.
Big Cedar Lodge offers four pools, eight restaurants, and 6 bars. It also provides a full-service spa, golf, and plenty of family activities.
Big Cedar Lodge is also one of the most popular wedding venues in Branson. Although Big Cedar has quite the county feel, it is one of the best places to stay in Branson.
