Can Golf Clubs Be Rented at Sandals Resorts?
Before I dive into the best Sandals Resorts for golf, I thought we should talk about golf clubs. After all, not everyone wants to bring their golf clubs on vacation with them. I know you seasoned golfers absolutely bring your own clubs, but for those who don’t, let’s discuss some options.
So, that begs the question, “Can golf clubs be rented at Sandals Resorts?”.
And the answer to that question is, “YES!”. Yes, you can rent golf clubs at Sandals Resorts.
This is excellent news for everyone who wants to pack light for their Sandals Resort vacation. And for those who want to try to play golf for the first time without needing to go out and buy clubs.
Golf clubs are available for right and left-handers. You can even rent shoes for your time on the golf course.
The best Sandals Resorts for golf
Here are the best Sandals Resorts for golf. They are listed in no particular order. Golf is available at Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia, Jamaica, and the Bahamas.

Golf at the St. Lucia Sandals Resorts
There are 3 Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia. Those resorts are:
Time on the golf courses at these resorts is free when you stay as a guest at any of the resorts.
The golf courses you can choose from are Sandals La Toc Golf Club and Sandals St. Lucia Golf and Country Club. The first option offers a 9-hole course. The second has 18 holes of pure fun.
It will be easy to play golf at Sandals La Toc Golf Club when you stay at Sandals Regency La Toc. This Sandals Resort and golf course is in Castries.
The golf course is considered a par 33. There are rolling hills to conquer on these greens. If you are new to this sport, I recommend taking advantage of their golf clinics or lessons.
You will also find a practice net, a full-service golf shop, and changing rooms for your convenience.
Unfortunately, Sandals La Toc Golf Club is currently closed for renovations. There is no reopening date as of yet, but I will keep you posted!
Golfing at Sandals in St. Lucia
However, if you prefer to play 18 holes at a time, you should reserve a room or suite at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. This golf course was designed by Greg Norman and is par 71. While the entire course is surrounded by lush landscape, it will be the elevation changes that challenge you.
You may want to visit the practice range before heading out onto the course. Or attend one of the free golf clinics.
Since there are 18 holes at this golf course, you may want to rent a golf cart. Those rentals, along with caddies, have an extra fee. But they could both be worth it if you play the best game of your life!
Transfers to each of these golf courses are available from any of the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia. So, don’t limit yourself to the golf course closest to your resort.
Golf at Jamaica’s Sandals Resorts
There are numerous Sandals Resorts in Jamaica. But not all of those Sandals Resorts are best for golf. The best Sandals Resorts for golf in Jamaica include:
While golf is included in your stay at any of the Sandals Resorts in Jamaica, only guests at these 3 resorts will have complimentary transportation to the golf course.
And that golf course is Sandals Golf & Country Club. Sorry, I kept you in suspense for a minute there by not releasing the name of the golf course sooner!
You will find the Sandals Golf & Country Club in Ocho Rios. It is an 18-hole course. The views of the ocean and mountains from the greens are incredible. So much so that you may have a little difficulty focusing on your game.
The putting and chipping greens, plus the practice range are perfect places to go before your tee time. Unfortunately, the clubhouse is currently not open. There was a fire and a new one is still under construction.
If you do need a little help with your golf game, take advantage of the free clinics. Or pay a little extra for golf lessons. They may help you get on par.
Extra fees at Sandals golf courses
It does cost extra to rent a golf cart at this course. However, they are recommended due to the warm weather.
You must use a caddy every time you play golf at Sandals Golf & Country Club. There is an extra fee for caddies as well.
Golf at Bahamas’ Sandals Resort
One of the best Sandals Resorts for golf is Sandals Emerald Bay Golf, Tennis and Spa Resort. This resort is located in Great Exuma in the Bahamas.
Greg Norman also designed this par 72 golf course. Six of the holes on the course look out over the ocean. And the entire course will have you trying to avoid the seaside dunes with every shot.
This can be a challenging golf course. However, the challenges are worth it to see if you have what it takes to finish on par like the champions at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic golf tournament.
Prior to your tee time, check out the practice bunker, practice range, and pro shop. If your game isn’t that great, consider attending the free golf clinic.
You must use a golf cart at this course. There is a fee for the carts, but they are worth it to avoid overheating.
