Dining Options at Sandals Dunn’s river
There are twelve restaurants at Sandals Dunn’s River. Each restaurant serves dishes made from the freshest ingredients.
Saltaire
Saltaire is an open-air eatery that serves breakfast and lunch. You can sit at a table near the ocean and listen to the waves crash along the shoreline. All this while enjoying a Caribbean-inspired meal from the buffet.
Banyu
Asian cuisine fills the menu at Banyu. This restaurant is only open for dinner. This means you will need to wait all day to indulge on delicious plates that include sushi, sashimi, pad Thai, and chicken satay. I recommend staying until you have eaten mango pudding or a banana spring roll for dessert.
Cascata
Romantic decor, European charm, and delicious Italian cuisine is what you will discover when you walk into Cascata for dinner. Start with an antipasto dish before diving into fettuccine alfredo, linguine ai scampi, or skin-seared salmon. Add in tiramisu or cannoli for dessert, as well as a few glasses of wine, and you will have a dinner to remember.
L’amande
French cuisine is prepared using the freshest ingredients available from Jamaica at L’amande. Order your favorite French dish for dinner and see how the locals add a little Jamaican flare.
Zuka
Zuka is another dinner-only restaurant at Sandals Dunn’s River. This restaurant focuses on Latin American cuisine. You can choose to dine inside or outside, where you can feel the Caribbean breeze. No matter which dining area you choose, order the shrimp ceviche to start and the tres leches to end your meal.
Edessa
At Edessa, you can look out towards the ocean while eating Greek cuisine for breakfast and dinner. At breakfast, you can choose from light fare and classic dishes. For dinner, add a glass of wine to your order of Aegean slow braised prime beef, grilled lamb chops, or broiled lobster.
Isola
Have you ever just wanted to order a pizza while on vacation? Well, you can do just that at Sandals Dunn’s River when you visit Isola. This restaurant can be found down by the beach. The staff will make your pizza to order in the brick oven. So, choose your favorite toppings and then sigh in relief after taking your first bite.
Hanami
You will have more than one place to order sushi for dinner when you are on vacation at Sandals Dunn’s River. Hanami is an izakaya-inspired sushi restaurant that also brings authentic Japanese dishes to the Caribbean. Order your favorites, as well as a couple new items to try.
Dunn’s Rum Club
You won’t find any big meals at Dunn’s Rum Club. But you will find delicious drinks, as well as snacks and small plates. As you drink your rum-inspired drinks, try to win a round of pool or a game of Jamaican-rules dominoes.
Blum
You won’t want to survive without your morning, or afternoon cup of coffee. And you won’t need to since you can visit Blum from early morning until late evening. While you are ordering your coffee, try a Jamaican pastry or patty. Either one will satisfy your cravings until it is time to eat again.
The Jerk Shack
The Jerk Shack is open for lunch every day. This is the best place to eat Jamaican jerk. All the dishes are prepared using Jamaican jerk marinades or pastes. So, you get the full flavor of the spices in everything you order.
Galene
Lunch will have a new meaning when you choose to dine at Galene. This restaurant is right on the beach. The menu is full of seafood, much of which comes right from the nearby ocean. Order the catch of the day if you want the freshest fish. Or try something new. It is guaranteed to be full of flavor.
Activities at Sandals Dunn’s River
There are so many activities going on at Sandals Dunn’s River. You will never have an excuse to be bored during your vacation.
Greens Fees at nearby Upton Estate Golf & Country Club are included with your resort stay. You can also use PADI-certified diving equipment if you’re certified or get certified (for a fee) if you are not.
There is a whole ocean waiting for you and the adventures you want to take. If you aren’t up for scuba, snorkeling is an excellent option. If you prefer to be near, but not in, the water, kayaking, paddle boarding, or a ride in a glass bottom boat.
There are five pools, including two with lazy rivers available for you. One pool also has a swim-up bar.
You can play beach volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard, or basketball on land. Inside, pool tables are always ready and waiting, as well as a dart board.
Live entertainment is plentiful at Sandals Dunn’s River. They also have themed nights. So be prepared for Island Night, Jamaica Day, Caribbean Night, the Lovers’ White Night, and Chocolate Buffet.
The fun doesn’t stop there. You can get a workout in at the fitness center. Swim in the pool. Or head down for a swim at the beach.
The Red Lane Spa isn’t included in your stay. However, it is the perfect way to relax after a few adventures, and I highly recommend stopping in for a massage or another spa treatment.
