Sandals Grande Antigua, and the entire island of Antigua, is known for its white-sand beaches. This Sandals Resort is located on the beach on Dickenson Bay. This is the most famous beach in Antigua. Butler Service at Sandals

As a rule, tipping is not allowed at any of the Sandals Resorts. However, if you book a room or suite with butler service, you are allowed to tip your butler.

They will make dinner reservations for you. If you want a candlelight dinner, they will make all the arrangements. And if you want to leave the resort to go on an excursion. Well, they will take care of all the details.

You don’t need to book a room with Butler service at Sandals Antigua. But the benefits are amazing when you do!

What is Included During Your Stay at Sandals Grande Antigua

You will be hard-pressed to find something not included in your stay at Sandals Antigua. I did write a blog post about what’s not included at the Sandals Resorts. It’s a short one!

All this to say, you will love everything that is included in your Sandals Antigua stay. Here is a short list of some of what you can expect to be included during your visit.

Dining Options at Sandals Grande Antigua

Here are the restaurants at Sandals Grande Antigua. 

Bayside

Bayside is open for every meal. The menu is always full of Caribbean dishes. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. This is the best restaurant at the resort for seafood, especially if you want mahi mahi or salmon. I also recommend the Cornish hen.

Mario’s

The Italian dishes at Mario’s are all inspired by dishes prepared in the Lombardy region of Italy. Begin with an antipasto buffet. Then indulge on dishes that include fettuccine allo scoglio, lasagna tipica, and spaghetti alla carbonara.

For dessert, try the tiramisu or the lava al cioccolato.

Eleanor’s

Caribbean flavors are everywhere at this restaurant at Sandals Antigua. You can dine here for breakfast and dinner.

The breakfast menu offers options that include an English breakfast, banana French toast, and eggs benedict. At dinner, you can choose from penne pasta primavera, coffee-rubbed strip loin steak, and grilled chicken supreme.

Barefoot by the Sea

It is completely possible to dress casually for lunch and dinner when you dine at Barefoot by the Sea. This laid-back restaurant is only steps from the actual sea. This means you can dig your toes into the sand while enjoying your meal.

Try the seafood pasta or Caribbean lobster thermidor during one of your visits.

The Drunken Duck

The Drunken Duck sounds like a funny name. However, this English-inspired pub will be near the top of your dining list. Especially late at night.

You will find all the pub favorites on the menu. So, feel free to grab a late-night meal or visit for a nightcap before heading to bed.

Kimonos

A party at your table is exactly what you will experience when you dine at Kimonos. Your chef will juggle their utensils while flipping your food as it cooks. Order your favorites and enjoy a few laughs before you start eating.

OK Corral

The OK Corral is a Tex-Mex restaurant. Order your favorite southwestern cuisine and then gaze out towards the sea.

A few of the favorite menu items include the southwestern fajitas, red bean chili soup, and the BBQ pulled pork taco. Don’t skip out before ordering the Jack Daniels cream cheese brownie.

Soy Sushi Bar

You won’t need to give up your weekly sushi dinner when you are vacationing at Sandals Antigua. The Soy Sushi Bar will have all your favorites, as well as a few new items to try. I recommend the orange blossom with tuna, crabmeat, and avocado. It’s all rolled with salmon and topped with a mango sauce.

Courtyard Bistro

Courtyard Bistro is the place to go when you need a midday snack. You can sit at the bar or a bistro table to enjoy a drink and your meal.

The menu offers burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. But don’t feel guilty if you only order the fries. I won’t judge you!

Bella Napoli Pizzeria

You get to choose your own topping combination at Bella Napoli Pizzeria. Or you can choose from a few ready-to-make options on the menu. No matter which pizza you get, it will be worth a few extra bites.

Wandering into Cafe de Paris at any time of the day will be something you enjoy. Whether you are searching for a cup of coffee or a latte, you will find exactly what you need. Including the flavor you are currently craving.

Just don’t forget to pick up a chocolate cream puff, creme brulee tart, or one of the other pastries in the display case.

Activities at Sandals Antigua

Hopefully, you never tire of the water when you are visiting Sandals Grande Antigua. Between the six swimming pools and all the beach activities, you could spend your entire vacation in the water. I recommend trying out the Hobie cats, going paddleboarding, and even trying windsurfing.

If you do need some time on dry land, check out the tennis courts or play a little beach volleyball. Maybe even work out in the fitness center.

Entertainment is everywhere at Sandals Antigua. You’ll want to stay in the know when it comes to where the live bands are playing. The talent shows, karaoke nights, and Carnival night should be near the top of your list as well.

If you have the time, a trip to the Red Lane Spa is a must. The spa services are not included in your stay. But being in paradise will have you wanting a little extra pampering, even if it does cost a little more.
