How to hold a Sandals Room for free
If you’re planning a Sandals honeymoon or vacation, all of the options can be overwhelming. If you’re wondering how to hold a Sandals room for free, it’s actually possible! Sandals Resorts are rated the #1 all-inclusive resorts in the world for a reason, but the options can be overwhelming.
Sandals offers three room categories, Luxury, Club, and Butler. You can read more about Sandals Resort Room Categories – Luxury vs. Club vs. Butler here. Within each category, there can be dozens of rooms. You’ll also notice that many rooms have minimal availability. So, how do you decide?!
Here’s the trick. You need to know how to hold a Sandals room for absolutely no cost. If you’ve looked at Sandals and noticed a $99 deposit to hold a room, you’re correct, but today I will share how to hold a Sandals room for free.
How to hold a Sandals room at no cost
Before I share how to hold a Sandals room for free, let’s talk a bit about Sandals Resorts. Sandals Resorts are wildly popular for honeymoons, destination weddings, and romantic getaways. Due to this popularity, Sandals opens availability to book almost two years in advance!
Which type of room goes the quickest? Those overwater bungalows, of course! You can learn more about which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows, but spoiler alert – there are only three! Other popular options such as swim-ups and Rondoval suites also fill up quickly.
So, how do you hold a Sandals room for free? With a Sandals Travel Agent! All you have to do is contact me or another Sandals Certified Specialist and ask to hold rooms. If you’re trying to decide between two or three rooms, I can hold all of them for you while you choose.
How long can you hold a room at Sandals?
Most rooms at Sandals can be held for a week. I will warn you to try to decide ASAP as some rooms can only be held for 3-4 days. It’s still better to sleep on your decision for a night or two!
If you know you want to enjoy a Sandals honeymoon or vacation but aren’t sure where to start, check out my Sandals Resorts locations post.
What do you need to hold a Sandals room for free?
All I will need to hold your Sandals room for free are two things: your name as they appear on your ID and your birthdates. That’s it! You can use my contact form and fill out your dates, names, and preferences. Don’t forget to put your birthdates and the room category you’d like to hold in the notes.
Once the room is held, we can start discussing options if you’d like some advice from a pro.
How much are deposits at Sandals?
Deposits at Sandals Resorts (after the room hold expires) are $98. Another $302 is taken out about three weeks later from your approved card for a total of $400.
Can you make payments at Sandals Resorts?
Yes! Sandals Resorts offers a secure portal. If you’d prefer to make monthly payments, you are welcome to do so. The final payment is due 45 days before your vacation, but it can be paid in any increments before that date. You can even pay off your trip from the start or pay the entire final balance 45 days before the trip.
Is Sandals a couples-only resort?

Their sister properties, Beaches Resorts, are family or group-travel friendly. Check out my Beaches Resorts locations post to learn where to find these properties.
