Everything You Need to Know About Sandals South Coast
Are you planning a Sandals Honeymoon or vacation and considering Sandals South Coast? There are six (soon to be seven) Sandals Resorts in Jamaica. Is Sandals South Coast the best Sandals Resort in Jamaica? Keep reading to find out.
This Sandals Resort is located in Whitehouse, Jamaica. You get the sun, the sand, and gorgeous weather when you choose this Sandals Resort for your vacation.
And yet, you may wonder why you should choose Sandals South Coast in particular. Well, today, I am going to share everything you need to know about Sandals South Coast.
When you are done reading, you will know precisely why you should choose Sandals South Coast for your next adults-only vacation.
Everything You Need to Know About Sandals South Coast
Sandals South Coast is one of the newer Sandals Resorts. This all-inclusive beachfront resort offers over-the-water bungalows, an overwater bar, and an over-the-water chapel if you want to renew your vows or get married in paradise.
Add in the soft, white sandy beach and lush nature preserve, and you will feel like you should never leave this little piece of paradise. Sandals South Coast is the only resort where every room is beachfront and has an ocean view.
Well, almost all! The new swim-up Rondoval suites are not an ocean view, but you won’t even notice because they are so incredible themselves.

Accommodations at Sandals South Coast
There are quite a few different accommodations at Sandals South Coast. You will find the all-new over-the-water bungalows. Each bungalow has a spa bathroom, king-sized bed, and vaulted ceilings. The private patio is perfect for relaxing.
The best part of the bungalows is the glass floor panels. Those allow you to see marine life in the water at any time.
Other accommodations include swim-up suites, penthouse suites, walkout suites, and luxury rooms. All the rooms are spacious and have all the comforts of home.
Some rooms also have butler services, so you will want to keep that in mind when booking your stay.
All the rooms and suites are located within the Italian Village, French Village, Dutch Village, and South Seas Rondoval Village. The latter is where all the swim-up suites are located.

Restaurants at Sandals South Coast
As I mentioned, there are nine restaurants at this Sandals Resort. You will dine on fine cuisine at each one. You need to know what you are craving for each meal to choose a restaurant accordingly.
Here’s a little insider tip, you can’t get dinner reservations at Sandals before arrival. Some people book years in advance, so they try to make it fair for everyone! So, upon arrival, either speak with a concierge or ask your Butler to make your reservations if you’re staying in a Butler suite.
Confused about the room types at Sandals? Don’t worry, everyone is! Of course, I have a blog post about that to help you! Sandals Resort Room Categories – Luxury vs. Club vs. Butler.
Giuseppe’s
Giuseppe’s is a fine-dining Italian restaurant. This restaurant is open for lunch and dinner each day. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Pasta dishes are ordered the most, but you can sink your teeth into a great pizza if you want.
Jasmine’s
Jasmine’s should be your restaurant of choice if you are craving Asian cuisine. This is one of the romantic dining restaurants at Sandals South Coast. There are plenty of intimate dining spaces, so you will feel alone while enjoying a meal.
Cafe de Paris
Cafe de Paris will be your favorite restaurant when you are looking for coffee, pastries, and crepes. You can relax and dine inside this cafe. Most people choose their items to go, though. Oh, and it’s pronounced “pah-ree,” not Paris. 😉
Eleanor’s
Eleanor’s serves authentic West Indian dishes for breakfast and dinner. A few favorite dinner dishes at this restaurant include Jamaican jerk chicken, Caribbean grilled lobster, tamarind grilled beef tenderloin, and West Indian curried lamb.
Bayside Restaurant
At Bayside Restaurant, you can eat a buffet-style breakfast and lunch. Or you can order dishes a la carte for dinner. This is the perfect dining option if you want to sit on the terrace to look out over the Caribbean Sea.
Schooner’s Seafood Grill
Schooner’s Seafood Grill is the best place for a seafood meal in the entire resort. You can eat lunch at the beachside. The candles are lit at night to make this the perfect romantic option as the waves roll onto the shoreline.
Neptunes
Neptunes is another excellent place to dine on seafood while staying at this Sandals Resort. The seafood is prepared with a Mediterranean flair. Lots of vegetables are added to every seafood dish to ensure you eat the healthiest meals during your vacation.
The Jerk Shack
The Jerk Shack is a casual lunch destination. Authentic jerk dishes fill the menu. All the meat used in the dishes is prepared using Arawak’s ancient jerk technique. The meat is seasoned, wrapped in leaves, and placed on hot rocks over a wood lattice.
Sushi on the sand
Sushi on the Sand is the only place you can eat sushi during your stay. This restaurant is open for dinner, so you must plan your dining accordingly.
Bars at Sandals South Coast
This resort offers 7 bars, including:
- Swim-up pool bars
- A scenic rooftop bar
- The Rabbit Hole, The Caribbean’s First “Speakeasy” Bar
- An authentic British Pub
- Beachfront Bars
- Latitude’s, Sandals’ first-ever overwater bar!
Pools at Sandals South Coast
There are three swimming pools at this resort. You know you will spend a good portion of your time at one of them during your stay. Multiple pools allow for a lively atmosphere with a swim-up bar or a more quiet laid back vibe.
Activities at Sandals South Coast
With so many other activities available, you will want to plan your time carefully. After all, you won’t miss the chance to learn how to scuba dive, snorkel, or windsurf. Other watersports include kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, and riding in a glass-bottom boat.
If you are more comfortable staying on land, you can visit the fitness center or play a rousing game of beach volleyball. Other options include lawn chess, croquet, shuffleboard, and bocce ball. There are also pool tables and board games.
Entertainment is everywhere at this resort. Every day brings something new to experience. Whether it is a party down by the pool, talent night at the bar, or a live band, you won’t want to miss any of it.
Red Lane Spa
Treatments at the Red Lane Spa and shopping at the numerous boutiques are not included with your stay. However, they are both options if you want to take your adults-only vacation to the next level.
This is one of the few things not included at Sandals Resorts. However, no one would expect that spa treatments would be included anywhere! I have a blog post with 10 things that are NOT included at Sandals if you want to learn more.
Tours at Sandals South Coast
You can even choose to take any local tours during your vacation. I can even book these tours in advance to ensure you don’t miss anything by booking too late.
