If you’ve been here before, you know that I don’t write a lot of product reviews. That must mean these headphones are good! If you’re looking for the best headphones for travel, keep reading! Here is my review of the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones.

Bose QuietComfort 35 II Headphones Review

First, I can’t compare these to the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones because I didn’t have them. That said, I’ve read other reviews that say if you already have them, it may not be worth the upgrade. If you don’t.

I bought the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones on Amazon on Black Friday for $249. Good news for you, the price has dropped on one color since then! I had been wanting a pair of noise-canceling headphones for a while and thought I’d check them out. Currently, they come in Rose Gold, Black, or Grey. I bought rose gold as it was the cheapest. As of this writing, Rose Gold is $219, and Black or Grey are available at $349.

Working from home, I often use headphones to talk on the phone while I am working or moving around. In the past, I have used PowerBeats, but mine had stopped working, and I needed something different.

Ease of setup

The Bose headphones were very easy to set up and easy to connect to other devices. Everything you need comes with it, and the instructions are simple. If you lose yours, you can also access the PDF on the Bose website. The Bose headphones are also supposed to be compatible with Google Assistant, and now Amazon Alexa. I have yet to try this feature but will be trying it soon.

Size

Even though they are full size, noise-canceling headphones, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II fits into a relatively small case. This feature is part of what makes them the best headphones for travel. I am a minimal traveler, and I don’t want to carry anything too bulky.

Sound Quality

Well, let’s just say that I am a travel expert, not a sound expert. That said, I think that the sound quality is fantastic. It far exceeds the sound quality of any of the Beats that I have owned.

Noise-Canceling

At home, it’s nice to use the headphones to block out sounds from the dog, kids, etc. However, what I really wanted to do was test them on an airplane. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. The headphones entirely blocked most of the “airplane” sounds.

Battery Life

For my use, the battery lasts several days. You can also get a quick charge in just a few minutes, which is a nice feature. The headphones also come with an auxiliary cable, which doubles the battery life when used.

Are the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones worth it?

So, are the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones worth it? Yes! Overall, I have no complaint about the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, other than the ridiculously long name! They are perfect for someone who works from home and needs headphones with a microphone for phone calls. The headphones are also fantastic for use while traveling, and I plan to bring them with me every time I travel. I also use them daily for meditation, as I love the noise-canceling feature.

So, are the Bose QuietComfort 35 II the best headphones for travel? I believe so! As a Travel Agent, I’ll be recommending them to any clients looking for the best travel headphones. Bose also sells replacement ear cushions if yours wear our or get ripped, which is good to know.
