Which sandals resort has the best beach?
Since there are 16 Sandals Resorts on even different beautiful Caribbean islands, answering “which Sandals Resort has the best beach?” is hard to do!
Not to mention that “the Sandals Resort with the best beach” is pretty subjective. And if I am being honest, it’s not like Sandals puts any resorts on bad beaches. That said, I’m going to share what I believe to be the Sandals Resorts with the best beaches using a few different factors:
- the color of water
- beach size
- sand quality.
If you want to check out all of the Sandals Resorts, make sure to check out my Sandals Resort locations post.
Which Sandals Resort has the best beach
First, it’s important to note that every single Sandals Resort has a fantastic beach. It’s not like the people who decide where to put the newest Sandals Resort would choose a lousy beach!
That said, five Sandals Resorts have absolutely epic beaches, and we will discuss those five resorts today.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
When you think of St. Lucia, you probably think of amazing beaches, and you should! Although St. Lucia has three lovely Sandals Resorts, I am choosing Sandals Grande St. Lucian as one of the Sandals Resorts with the best beaches.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is everything you imagine in a Caribbean resort: turquoise waters, white sandy beaches. However, what sets St. Lucia apart is the beautiful Pitons. If you want a Caribbean location that is “Hawaii-like,” you won’t get any closer than St. Lucia.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is on its own peninsula, with the Caribbean on one side and Rodney Bay on the other. Another great feature of Sandals Grande St. Lucian is that it is one of only three Sandals Resorts with overwater bungalows. And yes, of course, I have a blog post about Sandals Resorts with overwater bungalows.
This resort also offers an overwater wedding chapel for those looking to get married or renew their vows in St. Lucia. Did you know that you can get a free wedding or vow renewal with as little as three nights at Sandals? Contact me for more information.
If you stay at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, you will also have resort privileges at Sandals Halycon Bay and Sandals Regency La Toc.
Check out Sandals Grande St. Lucian to view a beautiful brochure and check pricing and availability for your preferred travel dates.
Sandals South Coast
If you’re looking for a Sandals Resort in Jamaica with the best beach, the easy choice is Sandals South Coast! Sandals South Coast is set in a 500-acre nature preserve and has two miles of private beach!
I have a full blog post with Everything you need to know about Sandals South Coast.
It gets even better; every single room at Sandals South Coast is beachfront, and (almost) all have an ocean view. Like Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Sandals South Coast also offers overwater bungalows as well as an overwater wedding chapel.
You can check out my Sandals website for a brochure and check pricing and specials for your dates.
If an overwater bungalow doesn’t interest you or isn’t available, Sandals South Coast recently built the all-new South Seas Rondoval Village, which offers zero-entry swim-up river pool access.
Although Sandals South Coast has some truly luxurious options, it also happens to be one of the cheapest Sandals Resorts for a basic room. So, you can save a bit of money while still getting outstanding service and accommodations.

Sandals Emerald Bay
Emerald Bay is one of the few Sandals Resorts that includes golf. However, we’re here to talk about the best beaches at Sandals Resorts, not golf! I do have The Best Sandals Resorts for Golf if you’re interested in that! In addition to the 18-hole championship golf course, Sandals Emerald Bay has some of the softest sand and clearest water of any Sandals Resort.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better beach than the one at Sandals Emerald Bay; you almost have to see it to believe it. The powder-soft white sand and clear blue water make Emerald Bay an easy choice.
Exuma is a district of the Bahamas with over 365 islands, and yes, it’s where you can swim with pigs! Most of the pigs are located on Big Major Cay, and there are plenty of tours to go and visit the piggies.
Although Sandals Resorts include many amenities that other resorts do not, not everything is included. Check out 10 things that are not included at Sandals to learn more.

Sandals Grande Antigua
Close your eyes and picture Antigua. I bet you pictured crystal-clear water and beautiful white sand, and you aren’t wrong. So, it’s no wonder that Sandals Grande Antigua would make it on the list of the Sandals Resorts with the best beaches.
Antigua has 365 beaches, and Dickenson Bay (where Grande Antigua is located) is one of the best. It is important to note that this is not a private beach like some others on this list, such as Sandals South Coast in Jamaica.
Sandals Grande Antigua has been voted “The World’s Most Romantic Resort” many times and has fantastic amenities such as sky pools in some rooms.
If you’re planning a honeymoon or another special occasion, I recommend staying in the Rondoval Suites. These round Butler-level villas have conical roofs and are popular with guests who want something a little different.
You have two options for Rondoval suites: a beachfront option or a Caribbean honeymoon option with a private pool sanctuary. You can’t go wrong with either option. I have a blog post all about Sandals Grande Antigua where you can learn more!
Who wouldn’t want their own private pool at Sandals?
Let’s head back to Jamaica for the final resort on the list of the Sandals Resorts with the best beaches. Sandals Negril is an obvious choice as it is located on 7-mile Beach.
7-Mile Beach is often thought of as the best beach in Jamaica, making Sandals Negril an obvious choice for beach lovers.
Sandals Negril is an excellent choice for couples wanting a quiet and laid-back vacation.
I recommend a swim-up suite at Sandals Negril. You can hop right out onto the beach! If it’s your honeymoon or anniversary, why not enjoy the Millionaire Honeymoon One Bedroom Butler Suite with Private Pool Sanctuary?
If the room types at Sandals are confusing – don’t worry! I am here to help. If you see the word “luxury,” that is Sandals standard level, and yes, it’s still luxurious!
Club level is a step up from luxury and includes extra amenities such as a special concierge and included room service. For those wanting to best of the best, a Butler suite is a must! The best rooms at Sandals Resorts are Butler-level and have a private Butler.
You can learn more about Sandals Butler services here. If you’re worried about not getting any privacy with a Butler – don’t be! Your Butler is only there when you need them. Otherwise, they are just a quick call away.
Fun fact: Did you know that tipping is forbidden at Sandals Resorts? The Butlers are one exception where you are allowed to tip them.
Bonus: Beaches Resort with the best beach
Speaking of Sandals Negril, did you know that Sandals’ family-friendly brand, Beaches, also has a resort on 7-mile beach? They do! It’s called Beaches Negril. Learn about Beaches Negril and the other Beaches Resort Locations here.
Sandals Resorts with the best beach
It wouldn’t be fair to end this list of the Sandals Resorts with the best beaches without saying that every single Sandals Resort has a fantastic beach. No matter which resort you choose, you won’t be disappointed.
If you’re stuck between a few different resorts, Sandals offers a fantastic tool that will help you compare resorts by factors such as the beach, swim-up suites located in a secluded location, and so much more.
